The Bruce Peninsula
The Bruce Peninsula surrounded by the freshwaters (sweet waters) of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay is an ideal destination for naturalists, soft-adventurers, photographers, or those just searching for peace and tranquility. The dramatic limestone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment strata, abundant wetlands, tranquil mixed forests; rugged shorelines, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters offer endless opportunities. The Bruce Peninsula is 100km long and 38 km wide at the base just south of Wiarton.
EāTerra is located on the northeast side of the Bruce Peninsula overlooking Georgian Bay. Here the cliffs and the rugged shoreline of the Niagara Escarpment are much smaller as they descend to the sandy beaches of Dunks Bay. Just 4 km south of the tip of the peninsula and the town of Tobermory, the width from the Lake Huron shoreline to Georgian Bay is approximately 4 km across.
